The short version

This site exists to introduce parentall to the families it is built for and to invite founding members to express their interest. By using this site, you agree to treat it and everything on it with the same good faith we are extending to you.

We ask three things: don't misuse the site, don't take what isn't yours, and don't misrepresent your connection to parentall. Everything else below is the longer version of those three things.

Who we are

parentall is a cooperative family investment firm in formation, based in San Francisco. The ideas, copy, design, structure, and content on this site represent original work developed by the parentall founding team. parentall is not yet a registered investment advisor. Nothing on this site constitutes investment advice, a securities offering, or a solicitation to invest.

Using this site

You are welcome to read, share, and discuss what you find here. That is the point.

You may not:

Use this site or its content for any commercial purpose without our written permission. Reproduce, republish, or distribute the text, design, or structure of this site — in whole or in part — without attribution and permission. Misrepresent yourself as affiliated with, employed by, or acting on behalf of parentall. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its underlying systems. Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or harvest content from this site.

If you are a journalist, researcher, or fellow founder who wants to reference parentall's work, we welcome that — just reach out first at hello@parentall.org. We are not defensive about our ideas. We are protective of their integrity.

Intellectual property

The name parentall, the tagline "The ladder is broken. Build a network.", and all original copy, concepts, and structural ideas on this site are the intellectual property of the parentall founding team.

This includes but is not limited to: the cooperative RIA model as described here, the framing of children as shareholders and beneficiaries of a parent-governed investment firm, the founding thesis, and the original language developed to describe parentall's mission and structure.

We have thought carefully and worked hard to develop these ideas. We share them publicly because we believe in transparency and because we want the right families to find us. That openness is not an invitation to appropriate.

If you believe you have independently developed a similar concept and want to explore collaboration rather than competition, we are genuinely open to that conversation. Write to us.

The interest form

When you submit your information through the interest form on this site, you are expressing interest in learning more about parentall. You are not entering into a contract, making a financial commitment, or becoming a member of any legal entity.

We will use your information only as described in our privacy policy. You can withdraw your interest and request deletion of your information at any time.

Submitting the form does not guarantee founding membership, investment opportunities, or any specific outcome. parentall is in formation and its final structure, membership criteria, and offerings are still being determined.

No investment advice

Nothing on this site constitutes investment advice, financial planning guidance, or a recommendation to invest in any security, fund, or financial product.

parentall is not yet a registered investment advisor with the SEC or any state regulator. When that registration is complete, it will be disclosed prominently. Until then, all descriptions of parentall's intended structure and investment approach are forward-looking and subject to change.

Do not make financial decisions based on what you read here. When parentall is ready to have that conversation with you, we will have it properly, with full disclosure and appropriate counsel.

Limitation of liability

parentall is in formation. The site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that everything here is complete, current, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, parentall and its founding team are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site, your reliance on its content, or your inability to access it.

Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes to these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify founding interest list members directly. We will not make changes that reduce your protections without telling you.

The cooperative difference

Most terms of use are written by lawyers for lawyers — designed to protect the company from the people it serves. We have written these terms to be readable by the families we are trying to reach, because we believe clarity is a form of respect.

parentall is structured to be accountable to its members, not to external shareholders. That accountability extends to how we communicate, including in the fine print. If anything here is unclear or feels unfair, tell us. We mean that.
